I moved into my first apartment alone at 32. The neighbourhood was slightly sad but filled with good memories: I already knew the buildings, the park, Moscow canal and the canal lock. I had wanted this for a long time and feared it deeply.
Pretend You Are Home was made over a year, mostly in that apartment, trying to catch what home feels like when you are building it from scratch, with only yourself in it, and not sure if you ever quite found it.
